| Parade debut -- The Come & Take It float has been redesigned and redecorated and has already made its first parade. Mayron Cole designed and painted the background piece, adding sequins and glitter, foil twist and fringe for a fresh, new look to the entire float. She was assisted by her committee of Mary Jean Neuse, Cherry Hill, Vironell Kelley, Angela Zumwalt and by William Hill who did repair work. David Janota had welding done to brace the scene. The local public will be able to see the finished product in the Come & Take It Parade on Saturday, Oct. 1. This year's Come & Take It T-shirt will feature the float's centerpiece, compliments of the artist, Mrs. Cole. (Submitted photo) |
