LETTERS FROM OUR GUESTS
July, 2009
Dr. & Mrs. Cole,
We really enjoyed our stay in your cottage. It is wonderfully restored and beautifully furnished and decorated. We enjoyed reading all the historical information about the cottage, John Fauth, and Gonzales. It was fun seeing all the other historical homes and sights in Gonzales. It was a nice getaway and time of relaxation for us.
Sincerely,
S.... & J... M.....

Dear Bill and Mayron,
Just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful time staying in the Fauth Cottage. Mike thinks it is one of the best one we have stayed in. The only thing he would have liked was for the house to be in the country.
Keep up the great work. We will tell our family and friends about Gonzales and the B&B.
Thanks,
Betty L

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Cole,
Thank you, again, for a wonderful C & T I experience! As usual, everything was wonderful!
We found a stray kitten in the yard (there were 2, but the other one had already died, unfortunately). We are taking it home to try to save it.
I'm leaving a check for next year. If it is made out incorrectly or if it's for the wrong amount, just let me know. We'll see you again next year!

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know my mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the
Fauth Cottage and every second spent exploring all of the little and big details
of its restoration and decoration. The cottage expresses your deep sensitivity
to beauty and to restoration.
It was very relaxing, very comfortable and a pleasure just to sit or wander
around and absorb everything.
Thanks so much for everything!

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Cole,
I met you briefly on Dec. 2nd while touring the Fauth Guest Cottage. I was so impressed by the restoration and your efforts that I had to write and thank you both. My boyfriend, R......, and I both loved our visit to Gonzales and agreed that the Fauth House was the most unique and friendly place we saw (and in such a wonderful town, that was hard to determine!). Thank you so much for your hospitality and for sharing your love of Texas history. R.... and I are part of a generation that ignores its heritage, and we are so grateful for people like you in this world.
God Bless you both, and your family.
Michele

Dear Bill and Mayron,
This note comes to you a little late but very sincerely to let you know how much David, Danise Ann, and I enjoyed our weekend at your beautiful cottage. We loved every minute of our stay in your home and your town. Everyone was so kind and nice to us. We can see why your decision to move there was an easy one. We took your advice and went touring with Leon Netardus. He was so sweet and entertaining! He even took us outside of town and showed us farms, markers, etc. He spent about 2 hours with us, but he would not let us pay him even for gas! Our daughter only came home for one week this summer, so this gave us a chance to spend a lot of time with her …….
Our thanks again for sharing your lovely home with us.
Sincerely,
David, Cindy & Danise Ann G.

Dear Bill & Mayron,
We wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful weekend. Gonzales is a friendly town, and (there is) no better place to invest such effort in Fauth Cottage. We will certainly be back, and we hope sooner than later. Next time, we would enjoy your company for supper.

Dear Bill & Mayron, |
|
As you know, when my family and I visited Gonzales recently, we were
fortunate enough be able to stay at your "John Fauth Cottage"
(March 12-16, 2005). This was our first visit, and 1'd long looked
forward to seeing Gonzales. |
|
Our primary desire in visiting was to
see some of the sights associated with my family's history
- and we certainly enjoyed all of that -
but just as much, we fell in love with Gonzales just for the
great little town it truly is; and the Fauth Cottage had everything to
do with that! |
|
I must tell you that our entire family
loved it! At the end of each day, it was so very nice to come back and
relax in such a beautiful, historic and comfortable place. I can admit
that I was a little concerned that that my 14 and 12 year old step-sons
would not see the charm, and prefer a hotel with a pool and room
service... but nothing could have been further from the truth -
they enjoyed it just as much as we did. |
|
Too, we truly enjoyed the tour provided
by Leon Netardus. We're very grateful to
him, as well as both of you for arranging that for us. All
the amenities were terrific and the complimentary literature was very
helpful. |
|
We certainly look forward to visiting Gonzales again as soon as we can.
When we do, it's my sincerest hope that "The John Fauth Guest
Cottage" will be available. Thanks again for being such
wonderful hosts! |
